Spiritual Space

As a part of Spiritually Awkward Magazine online, there will always be new topics to cover. One of them being spiritual space. Back in 2010, I had actually uploaded my first video ever on YouTube and it was on the subject. I then started introducing my teachings to the world, and eventually I had deleted the video. I really enjoyed making that video game, and I have these ceremonies but now is the time that many need motivation and information on the subject more than ever. Because of the way that things are becoming spiritually and in the world, people are losing motivation and creativity. Having something to look forward to, definitely reinstates and motivational and inspirational factor.

The importance …

The importance of spiritual space is that you have a very special area to go to, for your spiritual practices. These could include magic, prayer, meditation, etc. People use their spiritual space for many different reasons all over the world. For example, Buddhist sees it for meditation or even small prayers. Which is involved in wicket and other forms of magical religions, use their spiritual space to hold their spells or reverence of their deities. There are many people who live with someone that does not allow their spiritual practices at the residence. I can be hard especially for young people who are trying to become more spiritually active, to try to build an altar in a home that doesn’t understand their believe system. But it is important because having that space to go to, can you see motivated in your practices as well as something you can do that’s creative and fun. It’s always important to have a space at his side for your spiritual needs.

What do I use mine for?…

As for me, are use my spiritual space for all of the reasons that I have listed. Are use it for prayer and meditation. Or use it to hold my magical spells, and I also use it to observe my heavenly mentors for that month or week. With that, I can light prayer candles, or place candle spells, Sigils, pentacles, and even use my spiritual space as a creative outlet.

Getting inspired…

Creating your spiritual space for the above reasons and as a creative outlet, can be very therapeutic. I can give you something to look forward to depending upon how many times you redecorate. Yes I said redecorate! Many people have their alter or spiritual space set up as a more personal display. They decorate it according to how they like and put items that are personal to them. I also do this but I like to switch my altar up for many different reasons. I like to use it for photography, I like to read decorate for holidays, seasons, or even for a very specific week or month. However that’s a lot of redecorating. So, I have started to make mini altars where I can place tarot cards or spells, or I can simply use it as a display for products or merchandise. Instead of having to redecorate my entire main altar, having smaller ones set up has been greatly significant and helpful to my spiritual journey overall. Like I said, I can redecorate them for holidays, seasons, deities, or even just for the photography. For my main altar, I can leave it decorated how I need to come out for its purpose. The purpose will change but the underlying needs for it remains. And that is to have spiritual space to go to, for rituals or spiritual reflections. The mini altars can be really inspiring for you too. I want to share some of my creative ideas that you can gain inspiration from, for your own spiritual space.

Have fun…

In this section, I will highlight different altar ideas that I have found or come up with myself. I’ll specify which, but I hope that you will always make your altar space unique, even if the idea has been inspired elsewhere. The idea is to continue having fun with what you are crafting. To make it special for yourself and for your spiritual practice. Doing a different theme can be greatly fulfilling and draw you toward your altar more and more. Many people make an altar space in their house and they just leave it there as a decoration for their spiritual tools. A spiritual author is so much more than that. Use yours as you’re very own private sanctuary no matter how big or small.

Spiritual space is not just an altar though. It includes special places that you go to for your spiritual practices. It also includes places that you have a mystical connection with. You can also say that your spiritual space is one that you have segregated out of all of the places that you go to, with a special protection grid around it. In fact, it’s always wise to have a fractal cage of protection or something greater depending upon your practices or vibration… In order to ward off any dark consciousness, or entities associated with it. It is very dangerous to open up a doorway into the spiritual world let alone. However, if you’re going to be doing meditation or any other kind of spiritual practices, you will want to make sure that only good spirits come in. Many people don’t know how to read blueprints so they don’t know the difference. Bad spirits can make good things happen to present themselves as being good, in order to fool you at first. They will give you some truthful insight, and it will then escalate into a lot of drainage is of your energy, and bad luck. But because it does not come until later on down the line, many people trust and entities they come across. Entities can come in dreams, meditation, magic, and even during your open prayer. A protection grade is good to have over any spiritual space especially your altar space. Also highly recommend one in places where you will conduct energy work.

With all of that in mind, please enjoy many of the ideas that I have here. If you want to post some of your own, please email them with spiritual space in the subject line and I will post them with your name underneath. There are many people out there nowadays getting involved in magic and witchcraft who don’t really understand the importance of their spiritual space except that it makes a pretty picture. There’s so much more to it than that. I hope you will learn as you go, through some of the ideas and information behind them, posted on this blog.
