Many of you may already know that I don’t have a large family. Because of this, I cherish every single member, including extended family. Over the years, I’ve met many people through my work whom I now consider family. My arms are always open to anyone. Despite my busy schedule, I make it a priority to spend quality time with my loved ones. I try to meet at least once a year with those I’ve adopted through my work as family and spend as much quality time as possible with the loved ones who live with me.
My son Noah is now grown and spends most of his time with his girlfriend and her family, whom I absolutely adore. He couldn’t have picked a better partner. Similarly, my eldest child, Amberley, is also in a relationship and has a busy work life. I strive to divide my time evenly among all my relatives to ensure everyone gets some one-on-one time with me and that we can enjoy fun, family activities together.
Sometimes, finding activities to do can be challenging. Personally, I seek guidance from what I call “heavenly homework.” This divine inspiration gives me great ideas that make life more enjoyable, offering intellectual activities, cultural ideas, and adventurous challenges. I love being guided by these heavenly directions, as they never let me down and provide valuable life lessons.
Recently, I was inspired to create a bucket list and share it with my students in my private members’ group, encouraging them to live life to the fullest. Interestingly, my daughter Adriel received a summer bucket list of activities from school this year. Knowing how hard it can be for children to find things to do during summer, Adriel and I set out to accomplish every activity on this list for the summer of 2024.
The world is constantly changing, and while I have the insight to predict how things might unfold, I know what will happen and the unexpected events that will also arise. That’s why I want to take advantage of every moment to do things I love, both for my spiritual well-being and with my students, my children individually, and as a family. Many people tend to procrastinate, often saying they’ll get around to things tomorrow. I’ve noticed this behavior in many parents as well. I understand that everyone’s schedule is busy—mine is hectic too. However, I believe it’s crucial to “Carpe Momentum” or “seize the moment.” If you’re looking for inspiration, feel free to take some ideas from our summer bucket list. We’ll be posting our activities on the Kids’ Instagram account as we go. I’ll also be sharing my own spiritual bucket list and ideas with everyone in my private membership group. Their page is @alifeofvirtues on Instagram. I have the page set to private because there had been an individual that was making fake profiles on Instagram of me and had been stealing pictures from both my official account and my children’s. If you were interested in following along, just hit the request and I’ll approve you.
Here’s the bucket list for Summer activities to do! Try it out!

That’s a photo of the list from when we first started. We’ve already completed many activities, and I’ve only posted a few so far. I’ll continue to add pictures as the summer progresses.
